Photographer & Videographer for Hotels with Purpose
Timeless photos. Real atmosphere. Visual calm.
ABOUT ME – FLORIAN KIRSCHBAUM
I’m a photographer and videographer for hotels, retreats and places that stand for peace, nature and clarity.
For many years, I worked as an IT Director. Then I made a clear decision: I wanted to do something that feels true to me.
Today, I create visual stories that slow down, connect and inspire. My work follows the idea of
Framed Freedom – a clear structure that gives space for freedom.
I work only with places that respect my work, trust my process, and want more than nice pictures. I create images that show real atmosphere, light and meaning.
Next to photography, I also support other creatives – with an editing course and a blog about transformation, personal style and conscious creation.
WHAT MAKES MY WORK DIFFERENT
I don’t follow shot lists or fixed production plans. No one-day photo shoots. No staged models with fake smiles. No over-edited pictures that look the same everywhere.
I bring calm, light and emotion into your hotel’s visual language – with a mindset that combines clarity and creative space.
What you get when we work together:
– Visual calm instead of loud, busy images
– Natural light instead of artificial lighting
– Real rooms and materials instead of fake decoration
– Simple clarity instead of marketing buzzwords
– A clear process where your brand can speak honestly
I’m calm in presence, but focused in my creation.
The best pictures come in the right moment – not from a tight plan.
HOW I WoRK
I work with natural light – often early in the morning, when the hotel is still quiet and the atmosphere feels calm. These moments do not happen in the middle of the day – they happen at sunrise or in the evening, when the light is soft and the place feels real.
That’s why I usually stay for at least 3 nights, better 5 days. This gives me time to see the place, wait for good weather and catch different light situations – also for outside views and the surrounding nature.
I also stay in the background when I photograph guests or hotel activities – like breakfast, spa or yoga. I shoot in a quiet, respectful way, so your guests feel undisturbed.
Before the project starts, we speak about your vision:
– What should the images show or make people feel?
– What values are important for your hotel?
– Where will you use the photos or videos?
I work independently, share ideas – and focus on what fits your story.
My work includes:
– calm and emotional photography of rooms and details
– outside views and landscape shots, showing the hotel’s surroundings and feeling of place
– on request: scenes with people (spa, yoga, food etc.) – often with my wife (a yoga teacher) and daughter as models, photographed carefully and never clearly visible
– short mood videos (5–30 seconds), with or without voiceover
– on request: a calm, natural summary video
– all videos are edited by me in DaVinci Resolve, with color grading, soft music and a quiet, natural cut – no effects, no stress, just atmosphere
We agree on usage rights, delivery formats and timeline in advance.
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with hotels, retreats and brands that want to show more than just good design.
My work is for places that:
– use natural materials and care about real hospitality
– want to offer their guests calm, depth and quality
– don’t just need content for social media, but a strong and honest visual identity
– are ready to give a clear structure and fair budget for good work
– are open to a trustful, creative process at eye level
If you feel your place tells a real story – and you want others to see and feel it – I would be happy to hear from you.
